The Agency is seeking a qualified Vendor to provide haulage (where direct delivery is not feasible) and garbage processing services, to allow for successful implementation of a Mixed Waste Processing diversion program for the Regional Municipality of Peel, to maximize recovery of Organic materials from residential Garbage, and aid in meeting it’s 3Rs diversion target and requirements of The Food and Organic Waste Policy Statement, 2018 for multi-residential dwellings. The Agency is seeking Proposals from organizations capable of developing and delivering mixed waste processing infrastructure within the province of Ontario that can process 100,000 tonnes per year of the Agency’s Garbage with the purpose of recovering Organics and ferrous and non-ferrous metals (at minimum) and producing marketable Beneficial Use products from Facility Separated Organics (FSO). The diversion of products such as Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) is not mandatory but considered a secondary objective.The bid document will be posted https://peelregion.bidsandtenders.ca when available. This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement(CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
