The Department of Defense awarded a sole source contract to the original equipment manufacturer for engineering services to support the post production sustainment of the AAQ-13 Navigation Pod Terrain Following Radar system, including its subassemblies and Line Replaceable Units. The scope of work involves resolving system maintenance and parts obsolescence deficiencies, managing integration between the F-15E and the LANTIRN Nav pod TFR system, and providing technical services for sustainment studies. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for reviewing government engineering change proposals and providing reliability, maintainability, and Information Assurance support. Administered by the AFLCMC ESKB at Robins Air Force Base, the contract is structured as a cost plus fixed fee agreement because the specific tasks could not be sufficiently defined for a firm fixed price. The work is performed in McKinney, Texas, under NAICS code 334511. This award ensures the continued operational viability of critical navigation hardware through specialized OEM technical expertise.
