Full Description

Sealed proposals for “Roofing Replacement of Lower Milford Township Building” will be received by Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 AM on April 10, 2024. This project will consist of the removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingles, underlayment, and associated metal flashing. Removal and replacement of damaged roof sheathing. Installation of new standing seam or flat seem metal roofing and associated underlayment and flashing. Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Lower Milford Township. A Prebid Meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Township Office. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the project site. Attendance at the meeting is not mandatory. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
