The Naval Air Systems Command has issued a sole source modification to contract N00019-19-C-0008, awarded to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) under a Firm-Fixed-Incentive-Price structure. This action focuses on the incorporation of recurring and non-recurring Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for the MQ-4C Triton Production Unmanned Aircraft, specifically targeting production cut-ins for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lots 5, 6, and 7. The procurement is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR subpart 6.302-1, as NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the Triton aircraft and ground stations, making them the only source capable of providing the necessary systems integration and production support without substantial duplication of costs or unacceptable delays. The broader scope of this effort includes the production and support of MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft Systems for both the US Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. Previous justifications for LRIP Lot 5 and Lot 6 estimated a total value of 1372.59 million dollars. The work is managed by the Naval Air Systems Command office in Patuxent River, Maryland, with performance taking place in California. This modification ensures the continued technical evolution and production efficiency of the Triton fleet through specialized engineering and production support.
