Lube Unit, Slide In (Service Utility Body)

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the procurement of slide-in lube units designed for installation in existing shop truck beds. These units must be fully engineered, weather-resistant systems featuring a welded steel understructure with four 60-gallon aluminum storage tanks for oil, anti-freeze, and waste oil, as well as a dedicated grease system. Technical requirements include specific air-operated pumps, heavy-duty spring-loaded reels with 50-foot hoses, and operation via the truck's existing central air supply. All units must be delivered in a work-ready state, complete with metal identification tags, fluid and safety decals, and both physical and electronic operator manuals. Bidders must comply with PCID No. 1075 general requirements and submit the BOP-2201 Worker Protection and Investment Certification form to verify adherence to Pennsylvania labor and safety laws. Authorized OEM vendor bids are acceptable provided the manufacturer supports all warranty, repair, and parts requirements. Delivery is required within 90 days of the purchase order, and PennDOT may require a pilot model for inspection prior to final delivery.
