The Department of Commerce Office of Space and Building Management intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Lutron Services Co, Inc. for the maintenance, repair, and support of the Lutron Lighting Control System at the Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, DC. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.501 because the existing infrastructure and software are proprietary to Lutron, making other manufacturers unable to satisfy the agency requirements. The contract is structured for a five-year term, consisting of one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The scope of work includes ongoing technical support services, preventive maintenance, and a one-time turnkey upgrade of the Lutron server to the most current hardware and Quantum software version. This effort ensures the continued operation of the lighting system in compliance with GSA lessor requirements. While the government intends to negotiate with a single source, capability statements were accepted through June 16, 2023, to determine if a competitive procurement was warranted.
