Full Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a notice of sole source intent by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, to increase the monetary limitation of Contract DACA01-01-D-0010 from $50,000,000.00 to $50,500,000.00 to cover several within scope mo difications to various on-going task orders. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract was awarded on 13 April 2001 to J and J Maintenance, Inc., of Austin Texas, with an expiration date of 26 September 2004. This notice is not a request to b e placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is in the best interest of the Government to use the incumbent contractor, J and J Maintenance, Inc., for modifications to on-going task orders so that existing operation and maintenance actions may be fully coo rdinated by the prime contractor to ensure contract execution of complete and usable facilities inclusive of warranty support. This action will preclude disruption of work in process and extension of completion schedules. It will also alleviate the cost of mobilizing an additional contractor and avoid any conflicts resulting from the actions of multiple contractors working on the same project in the same area of work. This notice is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for Other Than Full and Open Competition .
