M3A2 Initiator Cartridge

The U.S. Department of Defense, through the FA8213 Aflcmc Ebhk office at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, has issued a Sources Sought synopsis under solicitation number FA821326R3050 to identify qualified sources capable of engineering and manufacturing the M3A2 Initiator Cartridge (M690), identified by part number 8595821-1 and stock number 1377009325031. This notice is strictly a market research tool and not a solicitation for proposals; no contract will be awarded based on responses. The Government owns the Technical Data Package (TDP) for the item and may provide it to interested parties to support their responses. Respondents must demonstrate relevant experience within the past five years in engineering, manufacturing, inspection, repair, and testing of similar initiator cartridges. A company profile is required, including CAGE code, Unique Entity Identifier Number (UEIN), number of employees, office location, and claimed small business status. The Government is evaluating whether this effort could be structured as a total small business set-aside and specifically seeks responses from 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small businesses, with participants required to define their small business status relative to NAICS code 325920 for Explosive Manufacturing. Additional information must include any anticipated teaming arrangements and a description of similar services provided to government and commercial customers over the past three years.
