Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole-source basis with the Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO., for production of Multi-Analog Capability (MAC) modification kits for legacy Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). The kits were developed under the Commercial Operation Support Savings Initiative (COSSI) and are required to support the V-22 and other aircraft programs aboard L-Class Ships. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer and integrator of the MAC kit, is the only known firm with the unique knowledge, experience, technical data, and software to provide the MAC kit. The Government does not own a complete technical data package for the MAC kit. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
