This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement will be issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), reference number F9J1DT8199A002. Submit written offers only, oral offers will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23and through Department of Defense Acquisition Regulation Change Notice 20080124. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at: http://farsite.hill.af.mil . This procurement is being issued as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. North American Industrial Classification Standard: 423810; Small Business Size Standard: 100 employees. The Contractor shall provide the following: Quantity of 1: Trailing-type Electro Magnetic Road Sweeper with DC gasoline engine generator. Specifications: 17" wide x 11" high x 96" long electromagnet; 125 VDC input voltage, Terminal box and reverse surge drop control; 1-cylinder, 4-cycle, air cooled gasoline engine generator set, 3 KW output, with manual starter; Heavy-duty 7.50/16 implement tires, wheels, and adjustable wheel supports, for changing ground clearance; tow bar and adjustable parking stand; maximum road clearance 4-1/2 inches. Additional item: Include upgrade pricing for electric start to include control switch, battery and starter motor. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the synopsis/solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
