BERNARD PORT, HARBOR AND TERMINAL DISTRICT)                                           PRE-BID CONFERENCE:                            November 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM100 Port BoulevardThird Floor Conference RoomCHALMETTE, LA 70043 (Site visit to follow.) Copies of Specifications, Bid Documents, Contract Documents, and Construction Plans for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from Principal Engineering, INC, 128 Northpark Blvd, Covington, Louisiana 70433. In no event, shall Bid Forms be issued later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids.  Reference directed to R.S. 37:2163. Contractors desiring to bid shall submit to The St. Bernard Port, with their request for Plans, evidence that they hold a State License of proper classification and in full force and effect. Bids shall be accompanied with a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond with Power of Attorney (Money Orders or Letters of Credit WILL NOT be accepted) in the amount not less than 5% made payable to the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District.  Failure to do so will result in the bid being declared irregular and shall be cause for rejection.    If someone other than a corporate officer signs for the Bidder/Contractor, a copy of a corporate resolution or other signature authorization shall be required for submission of bid.
