Sources sought synopsis announcements are issued to assist the Agency in performing market research, to determine industry interest and capability in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This is not a request for proposals (RFP). The United States Property and Fiscal Office for the State of Maine is seeking information for market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources to determine an acquisition strategy. A response to this request will not be considered a proposal and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This is not a guarantee of future RFP or an award. This document should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Any information provided to the Government in response to this document will become the United States Property and Fiscal Office for the State of Maine property and will not be returned. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost associated with responding to this document. Your responses to this sources sought will be treated as information only. The results of the market research will be used to determine the best overall acquisition strategy. The requirement consists of providing and installing hospitality furnishings for the Regional Training Institute (RTI), located in Bangor, Maine. The facility consists of three two story billets. The facility is currently under construction and no drawings are available at this time. However, all the hospitality furniture must be delivered and install no-later-than 27 July 2012. Submission Requirements: Responses to this announcement must be received no later than 2:00pm Eastern standard time, (14:00hrs) on Thursday, 9 February 2012.
