The contractor is required to perform three scheduled preventative maintenance visits during the contract period using technically qualified, factory-trained personnel to service all equipment at the National Institutes of Health facility in Bethesda, Maryland. Each maintenance visit must include thorough cleaning, calibration, adjustment, inspection, and testing of all equipment in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s latest service procedures, followed by operational testing through at least one complete cycle to ensure optimal and efficient performance. Emergency on-site repair services are provided at no additional cost to the government during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Upon notification of an equipment malfunction, the contractor must initiate a one-hour initial response and arrive on-site with a qualified representative within four hours to inspect, repair, and restore all equipment to proper operating condition. These emergency services are supplemental and do not relieve the contractor of the obligation to complete the three scheduled preventative maintenance visits. All labor, travel, and associated costs for both preventative and emergency services are included in the contract scope.
