Maintenance And Repair Of Various Aviation Communication Devices

The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB-060-3122703-CLM) for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of aviation communication devices for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. The scope of work covers VHF/UHF radios, transponders, navigation aids, ground communication systems, emergency locator transmitters, and satellite communications systems. The selected contractor must provide regular preventative maintenance and 24/7 emergency support, with a required response time of two hours for emergencies and 24 hours for non-emergencies. All services must adhere to FAA and FCC regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. If equipment is removed for off-site repair, the contractor is required to provide temporary replacement devices to ensure operational continuity.
