NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to solicit, negotiate and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for Maintenance Service on a sole source basis with Fluidigm Corp., 7000 Shoreline Court, South San Francisco, CA 94080. The proposed action is to specifically procure Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance services under NAICS Code 811219. The CDC Agency utilizes Fluidigm Corp, AX IFC Controller system and Thermal Cycler System. Due to the highly specialized functions and capabilities of Fluidigm Corp. Fluidigm Corp. is the only known source available in meeting the agency's critical mission requirements. Period of Performance: 1 - 12 month base year with 2 - 12 month option years. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This notice of intent is for informational purposes only. It is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement may submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses must be received within five (5) days, of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
