AI Contract Overview

This solicitation aims to establish multiple suppliers within Manatee and Sarasota Counties to provide maintenance, repair, and operation supplies for the Manatee County School District. The district intends to award contracts to several vendors based on criteria such as pricing, product variety, and scheduling, allowing for flexibility in supplier selection to best meet its needs. Purchases will be made on an as-needed basis through in-store pickups at local locations, with orders processed via purchase orders or P Cards. Since no single supplier can fulfill all requirements, the district encourages responses from vendors that publish catalogs or price lists, enabling a competitive environment and favorable positioning for suppliers to secure business. The contract does not guarantee a specific volume of sales or total dollar value, as purchase quantities may fluctuate over time. Vendors should note that during declared disaster situations, items with markups must be billed at actual cost without any profit margin. The solicitation emphasizes quality standards and specifies that awarded vendors will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the district’s specifications. The response deadline is May 7, 2024, and inquiries can be directed to Kimberlie Dufon via email. The contract aims to ensure the district has access to reliable MRO supplies through multiple qualified suppliers, fostering competition and flexibility in procurement.

Full Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish providers for the purchase of maintenance repair and operation (MRO) supplies from suppliers located within Manatee and Sarasota Counties for in-store pickups and local delivery. The District intends to award this solicitation to multiple suppliers, as best meets the needs of the District. It is anticipated that the bidder(s) who propose the best pricing may be utilized in a larger capacity, however the District may choose any awarded supplier to provide these products/services that best meets its needs. This may include but is not limited to pricing, product variety, scheduling, etc. Since no one supplier can provide the total needs of the District’s MRO supplies, an award may be made to each bidder who responds to this invitation, who publishes a catalog; produces a manufacturer’s or dealer’s published price list, or some form of a documented verifiable price structure. Awarded bidders shall be in a favorable position to compete for the District’s business. Purchases will be made by District staff at a brick and mortar location within Manatee or Sarasota County on an as needed basis. Orders may be placed to awarded Contractors via purchase orders or P Cards and will be in-store pickups. Specifications and the quality standards of service are set forth in this bid. Contract Value: No guarantee is given or implied as to the total dollar value of this bid. It is not possible to predict the volume of sales any one vendor might receive from this bid. The decision to order from a specific Contractor belongs to District personnel. No guarantee is made or implied as to the actual total dollar amount of purchases that may be purchased as a result of this bid. Due to various circumstances, order volume may increase or decrease throughout the contract period. NOTE: The Contractor must agree that during a declared disaster situation that any bid items with a markup will be billed at actual cost without any mark-up permitted.
