MAMaC Elevated Water Storage Tank

The Greensville County Water & Sewer Authority is soliciting lump sum bids for the construction of the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMaC) Elevated Water Storage Tank in Greensville County, Virginia. The project scope includes the design, construction, inspection, and testing of a 1-million-gallon composite elevated water storage tank featuring a welded steel tank, a composite concrete pedestal support structure, and a concrete deep pile foundation. Additional requirements include a water booster pumping station located in the tank base, associated piping, site work, and the installation of approximately 835 linear feet of 16-inch waterline to connect to the existing authority system, including 300 linear feet of jack and bore installations. The project also requires two waterline connections to the future MAMaC system consisting of 125 linear feet and 175 linear feet of 12-inch waterline. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on October 21, 2026. Award will be based on the best interests of the project, with evaluation factors including bidder and subcontractor qualifications, financial ability, and compliance with bid requirements. Qualified bidders must demonstrate experience completing at least three composite elevated tanks of at least 500,000 gallons within the last 10 years and five waterline projects with pipe diameters of 8 inches or larger within the last 5 years. Bidders must also provide a Workers Compensation Experience Modification Rating of 1.0 or less and evidence of registration under Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia. The project mandates adherence to AWWA D107 standards and Virginia State Board of Health waterworks regulations, with substantial and final completion dates extended to June and July 2029. Payment will be processed via monthly applications with a 5 percent retainage.
