MAMaC Elevated Water Storage Tank

The Greensville County Water & Sewer Authority is soliciting lump sum bids for the construction of the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMaC) Elevated Water Storage Tank in Greensville County, Virginia. The project scope includes the design, construction, inspection, and testing of a 1-million-gallon composite elevated water storage tank featuring a welded steel tank, a concrete pedestal support structure, and a deep pile foundation. Additional requirements include a water booster pumping station in the tank base, site work, and the installation of approximately 835 linear feet of 16-inch waterline, including 300 linear feet of jack and bore installations. The project also requires two waterline connections to the future MAMaC system, consisting of 125 linear feet and 175 linear feet of 12-inch waterline. All work must comply with AWWA D107 standards and the Waterworks Regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Health. Bids are due by October 21, 2026, and must be submitted in a sealed package to the Greensville County Economic Development office. Submissions must include a bid security of 5 percent of the maximum bid price, a list of proposed subcontractors and suppliers, project references, and evidence of registration in the state of Virginia. Awarding will be based on the best interests of the project, considering bid compliance, bidder qualifications, and financial ability. The selected contractor must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including a 5 million dollar umbrella liability policy, and maintain an Experience Modification Rating (EMR) of 1.0 or less. The contract includes a 5 percent retainage on progress payments and liquidated damages of 1,000 dollars per day for delays beyond the substantial completion date.
