DescriptionThe US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District intends to award a sole source purchase order to AUMA Actuators, Inc., under the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(a), restricting competition for acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). This requirement is for sixteen (16) new actuators at Allegheny River Lock and Dam Four (4). Sole Source Justification The requirement is needed to replace all sixteen (16) AUMA actuators used for operating the filling and emptying valves in the single chamber at Lock and Dam No. 4 on the Allegheny River.AUMA shall manufacture sixteen SAR10.2/AC01.2 multi-turn electric actuators with remote mount actuator control units. These units must be functional equivalents to the original AUMA SA10.1-108 previously supplied to the project.A full Justification and Approval has been prepared in accordance with agency procedures and will be available upon request.
