Mapes Road Resurfacing Project (Sherman Road to Antelope Road) (CIP 24-20)

Scope: PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Menifee hereinafter referred to as the Agency, invites sealed bids for the above stated Project up to time , of 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work generally consists of, but is not limited to, constructing 12 feet of full‑depth asphalt pavement, grinding and overlaying 2 feet north of the existing road centerline, and installing new signing and striping.
PROJECT TIMELINE This project is date specific, and the construction schedule shall be strictly adhered. The Contractor shall begin work on or before the date noted in the project construction time schedule shown below and in the General Provisions. Construction WORK HOURS will be limited between 8:00AM and 5:00PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday unless approved by City Engineer.
LOCATION OF WORK The work to be constructed is located on Mapes Road at the intersection of Sherman Road and at the intersection of Dawson Avenue in the City of Menifee.
BID SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Bids must be submitted electronically via the City of Menifee’s PlanetBids bidding portal at: https://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=41576 no later than 2:00 p.m., on Monday, September 7, 2026. Electronic Bid submittal must include all corresponding attachments, including but not limited to certificate regarding contractor's license, contractor’s reference list, subcontractor list, etc., except for the bid guarantee, which has three options for submittal. Option one: within a marked, sealed envelope, submit a certified check or a cashier’s check made payable to the order of the Agency. This must be submitted to the Agency prior to the date and time listed above as the deadline for submitting electronic bids. Option two: within a marked, sealed envelope, submit a bid bond payable to the Agency and executed by the Bidder as principal and surety as obligor. This must be submitted to the Agency prior to the date and time listed above as the deadline for submitting electronic bids. Option three: as part of the electronic bid submittal, submit an electronic surety approved bid bond (e-bond certificate with an electronic seal). This must be submitted with all other electronically submitted bid documents. If a hard copy option (option one or option two) is used, it shall submitted to the Agency’s front desk in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with “Attn: Jennifer Dominguez, Contract/Purchasing Specialist; SEALED BID FOR MAPES ROAD RESURFACING (SHERMAN ROAD TO ANTELOPE ROAD) (CIP 24-20) NIB 2027-01 - DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL."
