The Olympic National Forest intend to acquire by contract a survey for suitable nest trees of the marbled murrelet, old-growth legacy trees and legacy snags, and establish protection buffers around each suitable nest tree and legacy tree. These surveys will be conducted within 31 proposed timber stand units (1456 acres) of the North Fork Calawah Vegetation Management Project on the Pacific Ranger District and 11 proposed timber stand units (349 acres) of the Wynoochee Vegetation Management Project on the Hood Canal Ranger District, Olympic National Forest, and up to 6 additional proposed timber stand units (228 acres) of the Wynoochee Project. Contract performance period is from Oct. 01, 2017, to May 01, 2018. Service Contract Labor Standards (formerly known as the Service Contract Act of 1965) wage rates, apply. Project Manager is Ms. Karen Holtrop, +1 (555) 000-0000. The Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) on, or about, AUG. 25, 2017. Solicitation will result in a single award for a fixed price contract. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government.
