The six-story, 531,040-square-foot state office building, which includes three interconnected quadrants with an open central area, currently suffers from obsolete components and unavailability of replacement parts, compromising system reliability and code compliance. The scope includes replacing the main fire alarm control unit, upgrading all fourteen existing remote control panels, and modernizing every fire alarm terminal cabinet to meet current safety standards and ensure seamless operation across the entire facility. The project is being managed by the California Department of General Services, with Jason Su serving as Project Director and the primary point of contact. The solicitation was posted on December 9, 2025, and the work will be performed entirely at the building located at 1500 11th Street in Sacramento. This upgrade is critical to maintaining life safety, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity within a major state government facility, eliminating risks associated with outdated technology and ensuring the system can support future maintenance, monitoring, and emergency response requirements.
