Q1: Is facility security clearance required? A2: Yes, at a minimum a "SECRET" clearance will be required. Q2: Can you please let me know if these services are currently being performed by a contractor? If so, could you please provide the incumbent's name as well as the contract number? A2: There is a contractor performing this service, however, the requirement has evolved over time and is no longer adequately addressed in the incumbent's Performance Work Statement (PWS). A new contract will supplement the incumbent's contract for a year and three months. At that time all requirements will merge and be recompeted. The incumbent contract is M67861-14-C-A002 and is being performed by H2 Performance Consulting Corp.

The Marine Forces Reserve is seeking a cleared Forward Deployed Engineer and Trainer (FDET) to provide specialized IT systems architecture, data engineering, AI enablement, and operational application delivery. This role serves as a technical equivalent to a Palantir Maven Field Service Representative, focusing on the build and sustainment of the Maven Smart System and War Data Platform using Databricks and Apache Spark. Key responsibilities include integrating AIP Logic and agentic workflows, rapid operational prototyping, and providing organic workforce training and documentation for reserve Marines and civilian personnel. The contract is a Small Business Set Aside under NAICS code 541330, with a performance period consisting of a twelve month base period starting October 1, 2026, and four one year optional ordering periods. Primary performance will be on-site at the Marine Corps Support Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. The FDET is designated as Key Personnel and must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance and a DoD Common Access Card. Technical deliverables, including code and pipelines, must adhere to DoD cyber STIGs and be managed via Agile/SCRUM methodologies with prototypes typically delivered in five to ten business day sprint windows. Performance is evaluated through a Performance-Based Service Acquisition framework, requiring high technical accuracy with zero critical unmitigated security vulnerabilities. Interested parties must provide a Rough Order of Magnitude and a capabilities statement by the response deadline of October 30, 2026.
