AI Contract Overview
The Department of Defense's DLA Troop Support office is conducting market research to identify potential suppliers capable of providing a specific breathing apparatus identified by NSN 4240-01-610-9970. This notice is a sources sought announcement rather than a formal solicitation or request for quote, meaning no contract or obligation will result from responses. The acquisition will adhere to DLA packaging and technical quality requirements, including adherence to the current DLA Master List standards as applicable on the solicitation or award date. The procurement also considers coverage for defense information, emphasizing that technical and quality requirements are referenced and must be met. Suppliers are advised that mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited in the items supplied except in specific, limited applications such as batteries or certain instruments, with stringent containment requirements for mercury elements. Offerors must submit a complete data package for evaluation, including information on both the approved and any alternate parts offered. Responses to this market research are due by July 15, 2026, and point of contact for submissions and inquiries is Jennifer Roome at DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia, PA. This effort falls under NAICS code 339113 and is intended to support future procurement decisions related to this breathing apparatus requirement.
