Full Description

THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command Norfolk intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to procure four (4) shipboard diesel forklifts in support of the MSC Mobile Land Platforms (MLP) to NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc., a large business. Specifically, the Government intends to procure Hyster Model S60FTG. The required forklifts must have a rated capacity of 6000 lbs at 24" load center to full tilt, must be powered by a diesel engine, must have four wheel brake system, must have solid tires and its mast must have a minimum lift of 130" with a 87.5" maximum lowered height. Each forklift must meet Naval Surface Warfare Center's (NSWC) Package, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHST) Center's purchase description NAVICP-PD-9901 dated 10 April 2007 and pass all tests and evaluations performed by the Navy's In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA). The appropriate NAICS Code is 333924. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to provide the requested items or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received by Friday, 05 April 2013 at 2:00 p.m., local time, Norfolk, VA.
