Tippah County's Board of Supervisors is inviting bids for the procurement of various construction and road maintenance materials, including different grades of crushed limestone, asphalt and related ingredients, clay gravel, surge, wash rock, and rip rap, with the goal of supporting public works projects through June 30, 2026. Bidders are required to submit their prices on a designated bid form, obtainable from the County’s Purchasing Clerk, with bids due by May 5, 2025. The county emphasizes that bids may include fuel surcharges, with reimbursement based on actual fuel costs exceeding a specified amount, and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, or award multiple contracts if bids are equally competitive. The county also retains the option to re-advertise and award new contracts periodically, extend the contract duration through June 30, 2027, and initiate the asphalt-related bids immediately upon award. Bids can be submitted electronically via Central Bidding, with additional information and documents available through their platform. The contract aims to ensure the county secures the lowest and best bids for essential materials needed for ongoing public infrastructure projects.
