The government is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources interested in producing and publishing the weekly Air University Maxwell-Gunter Dispatch newspaper at no cost to the government. This solicitation is a sources sought synopsis intended solely for information gathering and planning purposes, not a request for proposals or an award opportunity. The survey seeks details from interested companies, including their contact information, business size and classification under NAICS code 511110, typical NAICS classification for their services, potential role as prime contractor, subcontractor or other, and suggestions for commercial contract terms to enhance effectiveness. No costs associated with responding will be reimbursed, and respondents are instructed not to request a solicitation as none exists. Responses should be submitted by 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on May 30, 2008, preferably via email to the specified contract specialists, Sherie May and Paul Negrido, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The synopsis emphasizes small business participation under a total small business set-aside and requests that questions be submitted in writing to the provided contacts. This information will help the Department of Defense's 42d Contracting Squadron with preliminary planning concerning the production and publication of the newspaper, while gathering knowledge about potentially qualified sources and their business size classifications.
