MCTC 2026 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy

The Madera County Transportation Commission is preparing the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy in full compliance with state and federal mandates, including the California Government Code, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, transportation conformity rules under the Clean Air Act, and state laws such as AB 32 and Senate Bill 375. This planning effort integrates land use, transportation, and environmental goals to promote sustainable development and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across Madera County, aligning regional transportation investments with state climate targets and federal transportation requirements. The plan will serve as a strategic framework for multimodal infrastructure development, air quality compliance, and equity-focused mobility improvements through 2026 and beyond.
