Full Description
This Request for Information (RFI) / Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quotation (RFQ), or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the U.S. Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense.
Background: The MEARNG Camp Chamberlain Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) cellular repeater system is in need of replacing. The purpose of the Distributed Antenna System headend/controller is to enable cell phone signals to be extended throughout the building. This system has no interaction with any Government network or system, it simply boosts cell phone signals.
Requirement Objective:
The objective is to replace the failed/failing cellular repeaters, additional equipment needed to place the new cellular repeaters into operation, along with replacing any cables needed for this install. The end result is a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) headend/controller solution to replace the existing Westell DSP85 C/P and Westell DSP85 U7C equipment. The replacement solution must be fully compatible with the existing passive DAS infrastructure (cabling and antennas) and must be capable of providing equal or better coverage and performance for a service area of approximately 100,000 square feet. The replacement DAS headend/controller must provide simultaneous in building coverage and connectivity for the following wireless carriers Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile along with supporting 5G and LTE services for all three carriers within the coverage area. The new DAS headend/controller solution will need to be TAA compliant. This job should also include any electrical permits and inspections as required, start-up and commissioning of the DAS system to include grid testing and validation for all carriers. At a minimum the main components that will need to be replaced are as follows:
1- ADRF SDR 700 Upper C
1- ADRF SDR 850
1- ADRF SDR 1900 PCS
1- NMS Chassis and Controller for BDA Cards
- Consumables to include new Jumpers/Terminations
Requirement Parameters: A commercial solution is sought. No brand name requirement is anticipated at this time.
