The U.S. Army, through the Maine Army National Guard Medical Detachment, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) under solicitation number W912JD26Q1BOR to gather market data for the procurement of dental equipment to support clinical operations at its Augusta, Maine facility. This RFI is strictly for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, nor does it obligate the government to award a contract or purchase any items. Respondents are advised that all costs associated with responding are borne solely by the responder, and no compensation will be provided. The requirement centers on acquiring dental equipment that must integrate with existing Midmark dental chairs, with Items 1 through 4—Midmark ASepsis 21 delivery systems, HP Illumination, and ISO-C fiber optic tubing—designated as brand-name only to ensure mechanical and electrical compatibility. Items 5 through 12, including a SciCan Statim G4 sterilizer, automatic handpiece lubrication system, J. Morita apex locator and endodontic motor, and KaVo high- and low-speed handpieces, permit “or equal” alternatives but require proof of technical compatibility, including native or adapter-supported functionality for J. Morita and KaVo handpieces and compliance with specified coupler and tubing standards. Vendors must submit a capability statement by May 14, 2026, via email to thomas.j.ryan36.civ@army.mil with the specified subject line, including company name, CAGE code, UEI number, point of contact, socio-economic status such as Small Business, SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, or 8(a), and confirmation of authorized reseller status with Midmark, SciCan, J. Morita, and KaVo to guarantee warranty coverage. Respondents are also required to provide existing contract vehicle details like GSA Schedule or VA FSS, along with estimated lead times for delivery and installation. Installation of CLINs 0001 through 0004 is to occur at the Augusta location on government-owned chairs, while CLINs 0005 through 0012 are to be delivered FOB Destination. Although no formal evaluation factors, contract clauses, or contract value estimates are included, the emphasis on mandatory technical compliance suggests any future solicitation will likely follow a Low Price Technically Acceptable approach. There is no specified period of performance, allowing vendors to determine workload,
