The New York State Department of Health (Department), Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP) is seeking to contract with United Hospital Fund of New York, Inc. (UHF). OHIP will leverage the recent legislation, naming UHF in the State Operations 2023-2024 Budget. Under C039394, UHF will provide Medicaid policy support/analyses and will collaborate with the Department to assist with the emerging needs of the Medicaid program. This new contract will have the contract term of 10/1/2023 to 9/30/2025, with the contract value of $1,391,000.00. UHF created the Medicaid Institute in 2005 and has been contracting with the Department through a series of contracts since that time. Between October 2023 and September 2025, the Medicaid Institute will provide policy reports, data briefs, convenings, and other deliverables, as determined in collaboration with the Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP) at the Department of Health (DOH). The Medicaid Institute will also continue to monitor emerging Medicaid policy and program changes. Throughout the contract period, the Medicaid Institute will collaborate with OHIP leadership on topics for analysis, policy development, implementation support, convening, and publication. The Medicaid Institute remains dedicated to responding to the changing priorities of the Medicaid program and its leadership.
