The New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) is initiating a procurement process to establish a new Qualified Products List (QPL) specifically for medical equipment, in accordance with Section 1734(6) of Title 6 of the Public Authorities Law. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure efficiency, compatibility, and maintenance reliability within the school construction environment by standardizing the medical equipment used. SCA anticipates awarding multiple contracts for this effort, each with a not-to-exceed value that will be determined during the selection process. These contracts will have a duration of one year. Firms interested in participating must demonstrate their ability to supply at least 80% of the items listed by the SCA and must also be pre-qualified by the authority before any award is made. This entails providing evidence that they can currently offer the required equipment and can meet the SCA’s standards for quality and reliability. Additional details on pre-qualification requirements are available on the SCA’s official website. The estimated value of awarded contracts ranges between $5 million and $15 million, highlighting the scale and significance of this solicitation. Interested vendors are encouraged to respond before the specified deadline to be considered for inclusion on the QPL and subsequent contract awards.
