Micro-surfacing and Shoulder Backing along I-8 in eastern San Diego County

Caltrans District 11 is proposing a maintenance and repair project for I-8 in eastern San Diego County, specifically from 0.2 mile east of the McCain Valley Road undercrossing to 0.9 mile west of the Carrizo Road undercrossing. The scope of work includes micro-surfacing overlay, fog seal, asphalt concrete dikes, rumble strips, striping, and shoulder backing ranging from 0 to 3 feet from the edge of the pavement. All activities will be performed within the Caltrans state right-of-way using paving, striping, and shoulder backing equipment.
