The Department of Defense's Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking to acquire 210 Internal Frequency Standard Battery Packs through a sole source contract with Microchip Technology. This procurement is scheduled to be issued on January 17, 2025, with a closing date for responses set for January 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. The contract is being awarded under FAR 13.106-1, allowing for negotiations with Microchip Technology as the only responsible source because these items are already integrated into the existing system and are part of the customer's ongoing program. While other qualified sources may submit capability statements for consideration, the government retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with competition based on responses received. Interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to participate, and all updates or amendments to the solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov. The solicitation emphasizes the importance of monitoring the website for any changes prior to the deadline. Offers must be submitted via email to Cassidy K. Shaw by the specified closing date and time. The contract aims to fulfill the specific technical requirements for the battery packs, which are critical for the operational systems managed by NSWC Crane, under the broader scope of defense procurement procedures.
