MIDDLE BUGS ROAD DECOMMISSIONING:The Middle Bugs Road Decommissioning project consists of decommissioning approximately 3.4 miles of road using Roadway Obliteration Method 1 and placing approximately 11.2 miles of road into long-term storage using Roadway Obliteration Method 2. Additional decommissioning and road maintenance may be determined and would be directed by the C.O. Road decommissioning treatments include drainage structure removal, decompaction, recontouring, strong outsloping and seeding of disturbed areas. All fill material and culverts in stream channel crossings and dry swales will be removed. Stream channels will be restored to natural grade and dimensions and grade control structures installed. Native vegetation, slash and duff material available on site will be transplanted to the decompacted and recontoured or outsloped roadway. A temporary bridge across Middle Creek will be required for access to the work on Road 3100 and associated spur roads. Middle Creek is approximately 25 foot bankfull width. Old bridge abutments still exist.
