AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Government is seeking information for a forthcoming sole source contract award to Central Texas College to provide Military Skills Engagement (MSE) and Troop Schools services at Fort Hood, Texas, for up to 36 months. The statutory basis for this noncompetitive procurement is the determination that only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements, as specified in the applicable federal regulations. This sources sought notice is not a solicitation for bids or proposals, nor does it obligate the government to award a contract or pay for any information submitted in response. The NAICS code for the anticipated service is 611210 (Junior Colleges), and no set-aside is specified. Interested organizations are invited to provide details regarding their experience, qualifications, business size, and capability to fulfill similar requirements, although not responding will not preclude participation in any future competitive solicitation. Respondents are asked to identify potential barriers to competition and suggest alternatives, as well as provide recommendations for structuring the requirement to maximize competition, particularly among small businesses. Accreditation is required for eligibility, and contractors must award one semester hour for every 40 hours of instruction. If a competitive solicitation is deemed necessary, it will be publicized through the Governmentwide Point of Entry. The government emphasizes that all responses are voluntary and for informational purposes, with the final decision on competition remaining at its discretion.
