The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a build-to-print solicitation, number N0002420R6300, for the production of Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Surface Vehicles (MCM USV). These vehicles are designed to be ship or shore-launched with an open architecture, enabling autonomous safe navigation and mission execution. The formal solicitation is expected to be issued on an unrestricted basis in fiscal year 2020, following a draft RFP release in calendar year 2019. Interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to participate. Because the RFP documents and Bidder's Library contain controlled information, potential bidders are required to maintain a Secret level facility clearance and provide a signed Terms of Use Agreement and a completed DD 254. NAVSEA plans to hold industry engagement sessions after the draft RFP materials are posted to allow potential offerors to provide feedback and ask questions.
