Minesing Drinking Water Facility Grading and Concrete Work

The Township of Springwater is soliciting quotes for the design and execution of exterior grading, drainage enhancements, and the installation of concrete walkways and stairs at the Minesing Drinking Water Facility located at 2347 Ronald Road. The project aims to improve site drainage, prevent water infiltration into the building, and ensure safe fuel delivery access. Key deliverables include the construction of concrete door pads, a pedestrian walkway, stairs and landings, a drainage swale, and the re-grading of the existing ditch. All work must adhere to the Ontario Building Code and specific OPSS standards, with concrete requiring a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 32 MPa and granular bases compacted to 100 percent Standard Proctor Maximum Dry Density. The contract will be awarded to the top-ranked bidder based on the lowest price, provided the submission is compliant and pricing is balanced. Mandatory requirements for bidders include a project manager with at least 10 years of experience and a demonstrated history of completing three similar municipal projects. The successful contractor must be designated as the constructor under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and maintain both commercial general liability and professional liability insurance of 2,000,000 dollars per occurrence.
