Watermain Valve Replacements in Elmvale-RFT

The Township of Springwater is seeking experienced contractors for the replacement of four deteriorating watermain gate valves in Elmvale. The scope of work includes mobilization, excavation, traffic control, the supply and installation of the valves, and the restoration of surrounding asphalt, concrete sidewalks, and curbs to municipal standards. The project requires thorough testing to ensure system integrity, with final inspections conducted by the Ontario Clean Water Agency and the Township Project Manager. All work must adhere to the Township of Springwater Engineering Standards, various Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications, and the Ontario Traffic Manual. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all waste and must ensure that all valve box lids feature the potable water icon. Tenders are due by September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. ET via the electronic bidding system. The Township will award the contract based on the bidder's ability, experience, and financial capacity, reserving the right to accept a submission other than the lowest bid. Successful contractors must provide a one-year warranty on all work and maintain comprehensive commercial general liability insurance of at least 5 million dollars per occurrence, as well as professional liability insurance of 2 million dollars if applicable. Payment terms are net 28 calendar days from the receipt of a proper electronic invoice. The contract remains effective until the Township approves the final deliverable.
