The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH/NIAID) in support of the Division of Vaccine Research Center (VRC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for sample analysis research collaboration for 864 subjects genotyped on the Infinium HumanOmni2.5-8Exome v1.0DNA Analysis beadchip with King's College London 57 Waterloo Road, London EW1 8WA. The purpose of this contract is to genotype cells using a 1.2million single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) chip similar to the chips that are currently used for sample analysis in the lab and throughout the VRC. The vendor will then deliver SNP data and small subsets of the sequence to the VRC, NIAID, where the genotype will be correlated with the results of phenotyping performed at the VRC. This will be a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible. All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements shall submit their capabilities that will be considered. The government reserves the right to make a decision whether this requirement is available for competition. The Period of Performance will be 12 months from the date of award.
