This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for order FA8620-18-F-2372 of basic ordering agreement (BOA) FA8620-15-G-4040. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Medium Altitude UAS Division, AFLCMC/WIIK, intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. for the FY18 Mission Readiness Capability effort on the MQ-9 Reaper aircraft. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-9 Reaper system and has been identified as the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort. The Government does not own full data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may submit appropriate information to GA-ASI Small Business Liason at GA-ASI-Small-Business@ga-asi.com at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.
