Mist Stations

The Department of Internal Services for the County of Los Angeles issued solicitation RFB-IS-26200234-1 for the procurement and installation of high-pressure outdoor misting systems at three Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department facilities: PDC EVOC, PDC Deadwood Range, and PDC Patriot Range. The project requires the delivery of commercial-grade systems featuring 1000 PSI pumps, stainless steel atomizing lines, at least 65 fine-mist nozzles, UV-protected tubing, and automated controls with timer and shutoff functionality. Each site requires approximately 130 feet of perimeter coverage, and all systems must be fully operational by October 30, 2025. Technical requirements include a 20 amp circuit and GFCI outlets for electrical support. Bids must be submitted exclusively through the Vendor Self Service portal by October 7, 2025. A complete submission requires the RFB solicitation document, technical specifications, and eight mandatory forms listed in Appendix A, including the Community Business Enterprise Information Form and COVID-19 vaccination certifications. The contract is governed by F.O.B. Delivered terms, with the County conducting inspection and acceptance at the destination. Vendors must be registered in the WebVen system and comply with CAL/OSHA safety standards and local, state, and federal statutes. Payment is processed electronically via the Auditor-Controller’s Office following monthly invoice submissions.
