The Department of the Navy, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, is issuing solicitation N6660426R0200 for the procurement of MK48 Heavyweight Torpedo Sources and Sensors.
This solicitation is being issued on a sole-source basis to SyQwest LLC. (CAGE Code 33642) under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. § 4022 (Authority of the Department of Defense to carry out certain prototype projects - Follow-on Production Contracts or Transactions).
This action is a follow-on production effort resulting from SyQwest’s successful completion of a prototype project under an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement, which included successful prototype delivery and updates to the Technical Data Package (TDP). The Government requires the production and delivery of sources and sensors that meet the exact form, fit, and function necessary for the MK48 Heavyweight Torpedo system.
