The scope of this initiative is to promote a more efficient method for DHS law enforcement personnel to receive firearm certification training across the country by allowing delivery and access to self-contained MFR. MFRs are indoor firing ranges that are true 360-degree positive ballistic containment zero Service Danger Zone (SDZ), ventilation systems, bullet traps, target systems, shooting stalls, lighting, communications, security access systems, control rooms with ballistic glass viewing windows, range entry vestibules / sound locks, automation systems, anti-ricochet treatments, and comprehensive acoustic treatments.
