Mormon Slough Sanitary Sewer Line

The Mormon Slough Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement Project, managed by the City of Stockton Public Works Department under solicitation SJN-59253-R2, involves the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer infrastructure in San Joaquin County, California. The scope of work includes replacing approximately 2,080 to 2,600 feet of existing 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe with 30 to 36-inch PVC pipe. Additionally, the project requires the installation of three 10-inch PVC sewer pipes connecting the mainline to existing manholes, the installation of eight new sanitary sewer manholes, and the removal or abandonment of five existing manholes. Construction will primarily utilize open trench methods, with two specific sections installed via jack and bore. To maintain operational continuity and environmental safety, the project will employ temporary sewer bypass systems and erosion control measures. The project is subject to several regulatory approvals and environmental mandates, including Permit No. 20035 under California Code of Regulations Title 23 for flood control and a Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS Notification No. SJN-59253-R2) pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. Environmental reviews conducted by the City of Stockton, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife have determined that the project will not have a significant environmental effect, supported by a Mitigated Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality Act.
