Motorola Radios and Accessories

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify potential vendors capable of supplying Motorola radio systems and accessories for Foreign Military Sales purposes, specifically to support Ukraine’s existing secured communications network. The equipment required includes MOTOTRBO DM4601e, R7 UHF, and R7 VHF radios along with associated accessories, with quantities specified at 10,690 mobile VHF units, 34,950 portable VHF units, and 2,100 portable UHF units. All equipment must be Quality A “New and Original,” fully compliant with the form, fit, and function of the current Ukrainian network, and interoperable with its unique encryption algorithms. The procurement is subject to the Berry Amendment under 10 U.S.C. 2533a and 2533b, requiring compliance with specialized metal sourcing restrictions, and no set-aside is currently planned, though consideration for small business participation is open. Responses must include the company’s name, address, CAGE code, UEI number, and SAM.gov registration, along with a capability statement demonstrating experience delivering similar radio systems and confirmed ability to serve as a single provider. A Rough Order of Magnitude price must be submitted for each item, but no formal contract value has been established as this is strictly a pre-solicitation market research effort.
