The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is soliciting design-build construction services for the installation of access manholes at the Fairfax-Jersey Creek Levee Unit on the Missouri River in Kansas City, Kansas. The project scope involves designing and constructing manholes, with estimated depths between 10 and 25 feet, to facilitate the video inspection of approximately 27,000 feet of existing perforated corrugated metal seepage collector pipe. To maintain levee integrity, the government strictly prohibits invasive mass excavation methods such as trenching, requiring the use of minimally invasive excavation techniques. This is a firm-fixed-price contract with an estimated magnitude between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, though the total award amount shall not exceed $3,400,000. The acquisition is categorized under NAICS code 237990 with a small business size standard of $45 million.
