The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), through the 703d Aeronautical Systems Group, plans to award a sole source contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. for the procurement of Digital Video H.264 Compressor Retrofit Kits specifically designed for the MQ-1 aircraft. This decision is based on General Atomics being the exclusive designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-1B Predator system, possessing the essential technical knowledge and proprietary data required to perform the work. Given the Government does not own full data rights, the contract will be awarded under a sole source justification to avoid duplication of costs. This pre-solicitation notice invites interested subcontractors to submit relevant information for potential subcontracting opportunities. Respondents should include their DUNS number, CAGE code, and details relevant to small business status as per the NAICS code 334511, with a size standard of 750 employees. Points of contact for the procurement include 703 AESG/SYK for procurement questions and Paula Hodgetts at General Atomics for subcontracting inquiries. Additionally, there is an ASC Ombudsman, Howard Marks, available to address any concerns related to this effort.
