The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) / Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-20-G-0005, to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), 17066 Goldentop Road, San Diego, CA 92127-2412 for the for the installation of up to eight (8) AN/ZPY-8 RADAR Aircraft-Kits (A-Kits) on the MQ-8C Fire Scout Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). Additionally, this delivery order will provide for engineering reach-back support for United States Navy personnel installing the AN/ZPY-8 RADAR A-kits on United States Navy owned aircraft. This order will also provide academic classroom and simulation training teaches with options for additional teaches, for the MQ-8C AN/ZPY-8 RADAR and Minotaur operator interface. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 19-0048 - redacted version attached to this announcement.
