It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. DLA Land & Maritime is conducting market research seeing to identify potential sources that can supply a three-year supply of MRODs for NSN 4610-01-319-5337 or an alternative product that could be procured in place of NSN 4610-01-319-5337. The alternative product must have the same form, fit, function, and must be functionally compatible with all existing components of the weapon system. Interested contractors are requested to review the below description carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions. The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to gather information that will identify sources for the possibility of a solicitation or the referenced item under a long-term contract. The currently approved source for NSN 4610-01-319-5337 is manufactured by Katadyn Desalination, LLC (CAGE 4QM71), whose part number is MROD-35LL1. The unit of issue for this NSN is Each (EA). The estimated yearly quantity required is 2,000-2,144 units.
