The Mt. Bethel Fire Company is proposing an addition of approximately 20’x100’ (2000 SF) to their existing firehouse and social hall. Their intent is to upgrade the facility to provide emergency shelter during periods of weather emergencies and other traumatic community events.
The addition will add handicapped accessible toilet and showering facilities to the building, which do not currently exist. An existing toilet room will be converted into a fire fighters shower room. It will also include an accessible entrance and storage space for the social hall, which will also serve as the emergency shelter space. Renovations will also include upgrades to the mechanical systems (heating/air conditioning).
All respondents shall be aware that all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted and state assisted contracts must be complied with.
All Contract Documents will be available online at no cost for download beginning Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. Interested respondents may obtain Contract Documents containing detailed submission requirements by accessing the Penn Bid Program at www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond per the specifications project manual documents. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract value shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Contract Documents.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Jul 9, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. prevailing time, at the Mt. Bethel Fire Company, located at the project address, Mount Bethel Fire Company, 2341 N Delaware Dr, Mt Bethel, PA 18343. Following the meeting, bidders will have the opportunity to view the existing conditions at the project site. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Interested Firms are requested to respond by bid submission satisfying the requirements of the Contract Documents on or before Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. prevailing time. Bids shall only be submitted electronically via the Penn Bid Program at www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
All questions shall be submitted in writing through the Penn Bid Program on or before July 13, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. Responses will be provided to all registered plan holders no later than July 17, 2026, at 12:00 P.M.
